At 188ÌåÓý Center, we are committed to growth in the area of inclusivity and diversity. We acknowledge and validate the experience that marginalized groups have in both our immediate surroundings and in society at large. We recognize there is ongoing work to be done in this area and with this reality in mind, our commitment is to operate at all times with the knowledge that culture impacts every interaction. We endeavor to be mindful of our biases and work to unravel them, engaging openly in conversations about culture and cultural experiences. While we recognize the terrible harm racism and bias have caused to individuals within our society and the loss they have caused society at large, our stance on racism and bias is not to denounce our own. To that end, we will work to support, validate, ally with, and empower marginalized groups.
In addition, we are passionate about exploring and renouncing the trends and beliefs that propagate the eating disorder culture and lead to anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Our organization is committed to educating our clients, community, and other healthcare providers about the realities and dangers of weight stigma. It is our goal to create a culture of body normativity that emanates from our organization, effects change, and results in increased awareness and inclusivity for every body.
In support of our company values of quality, integrity, compassion, and acceptance, we hope to demonstrate inclusivity and diversity via our philosophy and our actions.
